The nation’s largest security officers’ union, Service Employees International Union (SEIU), is investigating possible incidences of sexual harassment and discrimination at Wackenhut.

Discrimination is against the law. If you think you may have been subjected to discriminatory practices or know someone who has, please contact us to speak confidentially with an investigator.

Wackenhut has agreed to several settlements in cases alleging sexual harassment, sex discrimination and retaliation.

“Each time you stand up for an ideal or act to improve the lot of others, or strike out against injustice, you send forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.”

It is illegal for your employer to harass or retaliate against you for filing a complaint of discrimination or otherwise opposing discrimination in the workplace, including cooperating in an EEO investigation. Additionally, you may not be retaliated against for seeking reasonable accommodation due to disability or medical condition.

Please contact us to report any retaliatory behavior because you may also have a right to file a separate complaint for retaliation.
